We're hosting a fundraiser for Dacey Tessigner. She is an 19 year old girl that has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphotic Leukemia. Her grandfather is Pastor Bill Pickel of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Pacolet, SC. This is the church where Travis (dobro) and Jason (bass) attend. Travis is the piano player and Jason plays the bass. She is also a huge Backline fan! She appeared in both of our music videos. She recently returned from MUSC after her bone marrow transplant. Please keep her in your prayers.
Here's Dacey and her group at church singing "Big Enough" one week before her diagnosis.
November 2018: Dacey is Diagnosed with Leukemia and admitted to Greenville Children's Hospital for Chemotherapy
December 2018: Dacey's family and friends shave their heads so she doesn't have to be alone.
February 2019: Dacey is admitted into the hospital for her second round of methotrexate and she has a bad reaction. she is in the hospital for more than 30 days.
Update 4/1/2019:
Dacey has been in the hospital for almost a month with this round of chemo. Her white counts plummeted and things didn't look good for about 2 weeks. She was quarantined and wasn't allowed to have visitors. Her counts finally started coming back up and she has begun feeling better. Katelyn, Travis and Kandi (our manager) went to see her in the hospital and visited with her and her family for several hours. Katelyn sang several songs that Dacey requested, and then Dacey and her group even sang a couple of songs. It was a good day.
